Good digital access, some app quirks

I signed up for the Digital Subscription last month, mainly for the news and sports. The ordering process was straightforward, I did it right on their website. Access to the e-edition and regular articles was immediate, which was nice. I used the New York Post App quite a bit; it works well enough for reading articles on my phone, though I had a couple of crashes when trying to open older stories from the archive. Delivery isn't really a factor here since it's digital, but the content updates were always prompt. I had to contact support once about a login issue, and they responded to my email within a day and got it sorted out. Quality of the articles is what I expected from the Post, pretty consistent. Overall, a solid experience for digital news.

Got a good deal on digital

I got the annual digital subscription during their holiday sale. It was a good price, much cheaper than the monthly rate. I was looking for something affordable to keep up with local news without spending too much. Access to the e-edition was included, which is what I primarily wanted. It felt like a decent value for what I paid. I didn't need any fancy features, just the news, and it delivered on that.

Love my Sports+!

Got the Sports+ Membership and I love it! The extra coverage is fantastic and I check the Post Sports App daily. It's so easy to use. Definitely going to shop again when this subscription runs out. The content is just what I wanted!

i have an old coupon code for a renewal, will that work? or are codes usually just for new sign-ups?

J Jared Silva 2 months ago
Most of their codes are for new subscribers only, from my experience. Renewals usually don't qualify.

You might get a special renewal offer directly from them when your sub is about to expire, but a general promo code probably won't fly for a renewal.

what's the deal with the New York Post vs the Daily News? trying to decide which one to subscribe to for local stuff.

N Nick Whitfield 2 months ago
Post is definitely more sensational and tabloid-y, lots of gossip and bold headlines. Daily News is kinda similar but maybe a touch less 'out there'.

It's a vibe thing, honestly. Post is classic NYC tabloid, very direct. Daily News can be a bit more traditional sometimes. Depends on what kind of news experience you want.

thinking of getting the print edition. do they deliver everywhere in NYC, like even way out in Queens?

C Carly Reyes 2 months ago
You'd have to put in your address on their site to be sure, but they have pretty wide delivery in the city. I'm in deep Brooklyn and get it.

My buddy in Astoria gets it, so Queens should be good. Best to just check your zip on their sign-up page though.

how easy is it to cancel a subscription if I don't like it? worried about getting stuck.

I Ivy Doyle 2 months ago
Pretty straightforward. I cancelled my digital one after a year, just had to go through their customer service online. No huge hassle.

Yeah, I think you can manage it through your account settings too for some subs. Not like some services that make it impossible.

I got the $1 for the first year deal a while back, not sure if that's still around but it was a sweet deal.
